About Me

At Ryan's 3D Print Shop, we do custom orders and create great gifts. 3D Printing was a hobby of mine until one day I decided to make it a business with the help of my Mom. Learn more by scrolling down to the "Our Story" section.

Our Story

On the Christmas of  2022, I got a 3D printer that I still partly use today. I started to make countless different things. At that point, my go-to gift for someone was to 3D print something. I then realized that I could really turn this into a business. The first time I really sold stuff was at the 2023 Christmas craft fair at St. Joseph School in Wakefield, Massachusetts. Almost a year later, I had saved the money from the craft fair to by a second 3D printer. This one was so good that I decided on making a website to sell my products.

How my 3D printing works

My 3D printers are both FDM printers. This means that it makes everything in many layers. I use the Anycubic Kobra and the Bambu Lab A1. You buy filament which can be many different types of materials. Filament is a VERY long strand (usually plastic) that is coiled up into a wheel. You put the filament in the printer head which extrudes the filament and tell it what to make. It can make just about anything. The way you tell it what to make vary on the model of printer, but in my case, I use an app on my phone apps on a computer. There are thousands of premade 3D models to choose from, but you can also make your own.
